SATYR // WELCOME TO THE SEYMOUR DUNCAN FAMILY!

We were psyched to have Norwegian black metal master Satyr of Satyricon in the factory the other day. The band was travelling between shows in Southern California and Northern California and they pulled off the Ventura Freeway and parked their monster tour bus in front of our building. Once inside, Satyr got the full factory tour and then the fun began. In our soundroom, he played a bunch of guitars through a variety of amps and checked out all our stompboxes.

Satyr ended up choosing the Twin Tube Blue SFX-11stompbox for super chunky menacing metal heaviness that made his Boogie and Marshall heads sound amazing. Pickup-wise, Satyr gravitated to the aggressive tones offered by Blackouts, the Duncan Custom, the Duncan Distortion, the Invader and the Alternative 8. After three hours of dialing in his tone, he left with some cool gear and some Seymour Duncan merch. Then he hopped on the tour bus and the band headed up to NorCal to make sound check.

C'mon, is that rock 'n roll or what?
