SUMMARY

Plans, develops, monitors and evaluates the financial operations of a business unit including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and preparation of financial statements, financial forecasting, cost accounting and budgeting.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare month end journal entries
  • Reconcile bank statements and other accounts
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and reports
  • Cost accounting
  • Oversee payroll function
  • Prepare financial analysis
  • Develops and enforces financial and accounting policies and procedures
  • Prepares monthly financial statements and reports
  • Manage A/R and A/P staff to ensure compliance.
  • Develops and enforces policies and procedures with respect to import/export regulations
  • Ensure effective utilization of Information Technologies
  • Become an active member of the management team

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field preferred
  • Five to ten years experience in managing and supervising the accounting and financial reporting functions and at least one year experience managing an information technology function at the supervisory level
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP) and Financial Accounting Standards (FAS).
  • Strong hands-on approach
  • Advanced Excel required
  • Knowledge of current and applicable hardware and software technologies in support of business operations
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Highest level of integrity
