Default SD 59's for an Ibanez RG550

Hi, some time ago I opened a thread asking what pickups Blues Saraceno used on the Plaid era. The majority of the answers were that he used 59's so now my question is:
Last week I bought an Ibanez RG550 with no p.u's, and I was thinking of putting two 59's in it. But does this pickup has good harmonics for whammy bar tricks and those kind of things? I love doing that stuff but I'm not sure if this pickup can manage it. Ont the Plaid album Blues' bar tricks and harmonics sound great, so I presume the 59 can do the job...

hope you guys can help me.

What kind of amp do you have? If you have a high gain amp or use a pedal it will be fine. I found harmonics easy with '59's. Technique is important. If you can do the tricks ( I know you can since you mentioned it) then they will be fine. Eddie Van HAlen used a pick not wound any hotter in early VanHalen and he had no trouble. Good pickups.

Thanks man. I have a 15watt Peavey and an Ibanez Super Metal pedal. Do you think it would be worth it?
