im installing my sh13 into a jackson dinky and this is what i have so far , old pup was duncan design, 4 wires white and red joined and taped off, green grounded,black and some silver wire to the pot.. now the sh13 has red, white, green, black and bare, the wiring diagram says the bare should go with the green . black to pot and red and white tied off, i did all that , but not sure if that was correct, cause im wonderin if bare should not have gone with the black like on the duncan design. but i did plug in ( no strings on yet) and no crazy sounds unless i touch the blade and then wow humm city, sounds very touchy, i can hover my finger just over it and get slight feed back, whats up? thnx

You did it correctly. Bare and green to ground, red and white together (taped off) and black to the hot lug on the volume pot.

As far as the feedback goes...I'm not sure. String her up and see what happens.

How are your soldering skills? Do you feel confident your connections are sound?
