I started this guitar over a year ago and let me tell u a little about it.
I got the body from a fourm bro. Before I got it he did the following to it.
Routed the neck, pickup and tram cavitys 1/8 of an inch to get the strings closer to the body. Filled the neck pickup cavity. Filled the 3way cavity. and made elbow and back contours like a strat. Then i had the body sent to theodie and he routed out 2 single pickups spots for me. I painted it black with blue flames. but I jacked the clear coat up so bad that i had to strip it start all over from scratch. so i stuck it in the closet because funds and time was limited. Got my taxes and bought an american strat and loaded it with some SD Surfers and a JB bucker so now I realy didnt need the 2 singles that i paid theodie to route so i filled them up. I decided to paint the body black and i messed the first 2 coats of paint up because i was impatient. so i went to sand off the black and it turnd into this awesome Relic job that I just fell in love with. man does this guitar have some mojo. I put it all togather and it playes awesome. I put 10s on it with the wound G string. To bad funds are running low again. It has no pickup yet but im saveing for a dimebucker. tell me what you all think.
Here is what it looked like after i got it back from theodie and painted the flames. To bad i jacked up the clear coat, was to cold and the clear cracked the paint all the way to the wood. i could do it again but i just dont have the patience. And i think i like this relic job better.
