Default do u RECORD ur practice sessions?

I know recording with CASSETTE is a obsolete out of date thing of the past( and so am I for that matter) but I have a few nice and well made and rather costly units at the time they wrer made back in the day, and I pulled one out and recorded a 45 minute Jam session where i was mostly shredding along with some chord progressions. I am sure glad i did. I would like to begin recording much more of my practice work. the hard thing to do is turn it on before i pickup the guitar. Its pretty easy to pop in a cassette and turn it on.It makes great recordings which i then pop into a very nice older cassette deck. Do you record your jams? what do you use?

I've recorded a couple jams with my friend Casey. A couple where were both on guitar, a couple with him on guitar and me on drums. I use mics, Behringer Eurorack 1604A mixer into a Mac Mini with Garage Band via RCA and mini jack cables (RCA -> female RCA-Female mini jack -> male-male minijack -> Griffin iMic USB). I also recorded mine "soon-ish" to be released solo album this wasy, but recording one track at a time, as I did it all.

No. I've never recorded any practice sessions although I regret it so much. Past groups I've played with sounded so good at times. We didn't get to record the few shows we did. What a shame.

I record myself singing and playing new songs i've written on an mp3 player with an in built mic, then email it to the rest of the band. I don't really practice so i dont record anything else, i like recording myself drumming though, im at a far lower stage at drums so hearing my faults helps alot.
