Sure... JB's rock in Alder.. ( if thats what ur strat is off).. If you are not sure how to install it. take it to a tech...
Digitech Bad Monkey,digitech Digi delay,
Ibanez SA 120- Bridge JB Trembucker Neck Jazz
JFG Flying V, Egmond 1963 LP-stock pickups, Strat copy SSL1s
John 8:32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

I'm sure it would work just fine, Billie Joe from Green Day uses one in a strat copy. If you don't know how to install just bring it to a guitar shop, and you can get it installed for a fairly good price (I can get 2 pups installed for $40 canadian).
hi,
cool i just didn't know whether it would fit and have the right spacing.
at the moment,i only really want the one bridge humbucker, as i don't use neck position at all really. i am aiming at getting a US standard black strat, then getting SH-4 JB bridge humbucker put in with a 3 ply (Black, white, black) scratchplate.
i think this will be really cool.
unless anyone can suggest a good neck position humbucker i think ill stick to 1.

The most popular 2-bucker combination is the Jazz/JB. If the JB goes well in the Strat, I'm sure the Jazz pickup will.
When I think what tonal properties the Jazz has, a Strat, which is somewhat brighter than your average mahogany 2-humbucker guitar, will only accentuate the clear highs of the Jazz. I haven't tried it myself, so it's just an educated guess as to whether it will work. Anyone else wanna chime in here?
Another choice for the neck bucker would be the '59 pickup. Nice, smooth and lower output than the JB. The two would pair up well.

A TB-4 will have better spacing but I have used SH models with trem loaded guitars with no problems.
My MIA Strat has a JB in the bridge, a Hot Stack in the mid and a lil59 in the neck slot. It's a killer sounding combo that covers just about every playing situation well.

Now, there's a guitar. Wow.

Thanks Carl, that guitar has been through the ringer. The only things left stock are the body, neck and jackplate.

500k pots - .022 mf cap
I wired the guitar master volume/master tone and added a series/parallel switch to the JB. It helps thin out the #4 position for a more traditional Strat tone. I also added a bridge on/off switch so I can get the neck-bridge option. The JB in parallel with the lil59 sounds something like a Tele.
It's a solid guitar with killer tuning stability and great tone.

will there be any sound difference if i use a SH-4?
whats the differences between sh-4 and tb-4?
thanks
whats the difference if i put a sh-4 in a US strat than a tb-4?
whats the difference in sound?

Go for it.
Buy a soldering iron and practice soldering on some wires first, and then away you go. It's one of the funnest things to do with a guitar, solder your own hardware and installing pickups. Makes you feel like a real man!

No difference in tone between a TB and an SH. The TB is just spaced a little wider so that the strings line up closer with the posts and studs.
