New Pointies!!!

They're here. Got them a little after lunch today. A new Jackson KV2 and a custom ordered BC Rich Wave Supreme.

I'm kinda bummed about the Wave as BC Rich has level packages that define how you order. I ordered the Supreme which among other things should have included Walnut stringers in the body. Well as you can see form the pics, they're not there.

When I checked BC Riches website today, the walnut stringers are no longer part of the standard Supreme package. Had I know I would have ordered them. I have 3 other Supreme model BC Riches all of them have the stringers.

Aside from that one thing, the guitar plays and sounds great. It also has incredible balance.

I also have to say I love the JB in this KV2. I thought I was gonna hate it. I may have to revisit it in one or two of my Riches perhaps.

The second from the left is called a Wave Supreme. It's my custom order. They did a great job with it.

As for the switches

Mockingbird and Wave:

Master Vol
Master Tone
Preamp Volume

Single switch is a Preamp on/off
Chickenhead switch is a 6 Position varitone
the bank of three is 2 coil taps and a phase inversion

The Bich wiring is the same but with separate preamp on/offs and volumes for each pickup.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I loves my pointies but try to keep em classy. I love the natural finishes on them but that V needed a transblack finish. I think my collection is complete now. Which really sucks cuz I will never get rid of my GAS next time it occurs.

I don't know much about BC Rich guitars but lately I've liked the looks of the mockingbirds. That Wave Supreme looks really good too. Congrats dude!

BCs production models after a few upgrades on pickups and maybe some hardware, are pretty sweet guitars, especially the new Mockignbirds with the arch tops. With 25.5" scale and the white body binding and if you're lucky enough to find the transparent finishes in red or black they'd look super sweet with some white pickup rings and white pickups.

Patience is a neccesity if you're gonna go custom order.

Normally I prefer the walnut stringers, but that Wave doesn't look too bad without them. Nice collection.
