Default Pickup for basswood/maple fretboard guitar

I just got an Ibanez RG 550 Reissue and I want to replace the pickups. Would a JB and a Jazz sound good in it? I have that in my LP. I used to have a 550 back in the 90's but I can't remember what pickups I had in it. If not the JB/Jazz, then what would you guys recommend? I play hard rock styles from the 70's to now, and 80's metal also. Thanks in advance.

C5 for the bridge. It's just perfect for basswood IMO. The jazz would probably be fine, but I'd prefer the PGn for the neck myself.

To my ears the JB sounds fuller and more aggressive in basswood.
