Any dunacn pickups have reached vintage staus and sound better?

I was fortunate to find an early 70's Dimarzio Super Distotion pickup and is absoltely a great great sounding pickup. I was wondering whether any Duncan pickups have aged to the point where they are considered "vintage" and sound better than newer ones? I havent heard of any "vintage" Duncans on ebay.

How would age affect a pickup? I'm not challenging, I'm wondering. I suppose it could affect the magnet or something, but it seems like (if anything) it would de-Gauss over time. Maybe age affects the coils somehow?

Wood is kinda obvious, how it dries out and gets denser, etc.

IMO, older is better for most classic stuff, including pickups(maybe especially pickups( because one guy told me that once wood is dried-as all wood is before it becomes a guitar body- theres no further benfit to ageing). Probably most of the the pickups made nowadays will not benefit from agaeing i surmise.then again, Duancans most expensive pickups go to great lengths to replicate the aging process, so there ahs to be something to it!

I still have my 2nd Duncan, a JB that I bought back in '86. Today, it definitely sounds "sweeter" so-to-say. It didn't sound this good new, I'll tell you that much for sure. So yeah, I think its valid.
