    Default Epiphone Elitist Les pauls

Aside from a questionable looking headstock, how are these?? Im familiar with Burny, Edwards, Tokai and of course normal Epiphones, but Id like to know how the Elitists compared to the Gibsons in playability and tone? I know the difference in finish and such. Im just thinking about getting one before they discontinue them..
    Thanks

They're surprisingly good considering that they're an Epiphony. I haven't had a chance to play an Edwards, but the few early 80s Loverocks I've played were quite a bit better than an Elitist.

Lot's of people do not know that Epiphone was the biggest and considered the best Upright Bass manufacturer in the 20th century, which was why Gibson bought them out.

In the late 40's and early 50's Epiphone guitars were considered better than Gibson.

Yes, Elite MIJ epiphones are good guitars

I don't know that I'd say the Loverocks that I played were superior to elites. MAybe some good ones. I think the elite is the ideal price/performance LP. It's all the quality at the right price for that guitar period. I am currently surfing for one exclusively for the purpose of giving a set of PG's with covers a home! I think they are awesome guitars. maybe one of the best lp "copies" out there.

I played an elitist studio and hated it. I played an elitist standard and loved it. That's about all I can tell you without going into the specs.

That's like the way most people pronounce, "Ibanez". The correct pronunciation is: "E - bonn - yes".
