    Default Active Pickup Question

Hi all, I'm contemplating getting an AHB-1 "Blackout" for the bridge position of my Jackson guitar but would also like to compliment it with the Duncan active single coils. I notice they offer the LW-CS1 "Classic" and the LW-HS1 "Hot" but both of these pickups are 18-volt. Would the need for a second battery for those pickups render this sort of setup impossible?

Blackouts will run on 18 volts....thats what I have read. So you can use a single 18 volt circuit.

I believe that regular Livewires will run just fine on 9 volts also. You just lose a little headroom and dynamic range.

Seymour Duncan pickups are very accomodating.
