You're the one that put it up on the table to confer with your peers, at least have the follow through to make good on your own words.

I would expect that at the very least from someone that claims the job title you have been given.

I'm not doing this for myself as much as I am to maintain some reasonable semblance of continuity in the creation and enforcement of rules.

It is without these two features that we have a place that is arbitrary and does a dis-service to the Seymour Duncan company as a whole.
    Skarey,

I am not sure my ego has anything to do with anything. Follow the simple rules of this site and you won't have issues. As for me following up on my word, I copied and pasted all of our mutual PMs to the admin section of this site and none of the admins or folks at SD came to your defense. I am sorry you are not happy with the outcome but there it is. No one is agreeing with your viewpoint at this time.

As for your motives, I am sure that the membership feels somewhat safe when they go to sleep at night knowing that you are there to protect them from an egotistical and obviously mean-spirited cyber nanny. Then again, the vast majority of our members follow the rules and accept the administration of this site for what it is so they may not even be aware that a threat such as me even exists.

The folks at SD regularily thank me for the so-called disservice that I provide them so I am not too worried about my future here. I am sure that if in fact I somehow effect their corporate image in a negative manner that they will let me know. I would have no problem stepping down and becoming a regular member if they asked and then you could find issue with the next fellow that comes along and asks you to please follow the simple rules of this site.

You really can't win out in a situation with me on this site Bro. I follow the rules and you seem to choose not to. Combine that with the blessings of the folks at SD and I'm pretty much bullet-proof.

If you want to stay, just follow the rules and don't give folks around here a hard time. Anything else will end badly.

    Your friend in tone,

    Robert

Thanks for getting back to me regarding the other Admins.

    Very good.

    Thanks for clarifying.

    Best of luck.

By any chance could I receive some of those blessings? I mean, it sounds like the next best thing from getting a blessing by the freakin' Pope!

Maybe it would improve my tone?

Actually, the inquiry was volunteered to have been done over a month and a half ago by him.

It's a moot point now though...

If Ernie_E had been made an admin none of this would be happening.

The flip side of this argument is that this forum "represents" SD the company (and person). That fact has played a significant role in the formation of certain policies on the board including the one regarding poop-mouth posting styles. If someone can't comply with those policies, they're being a bad guest in "Seymour's house" regardless of how knowledgeable they may be or how much they've helped out other forumites in the past.

While we're on the topic of asking people to "man-up", how about folks who get infractions taking a moment to ask themselves if they broke the rules. If you did break the rules, you might think about just accepting the consequences of your actions rather than complaining about how a number of folks who might've broken the same rule didn't get infractions (as if you can tell who gets infractions).

I have infractions, each one I deserved. I brke the rules, one I willingly knew and arrogantly jumped off the cliff, why? I was being a prick. However I'd like to think of greener pastures filled with Custom Customs, Invaders, Jazz's, twangbangers, surfers and broadcasters!!!

When I want to talk politics I'll go to city hall or to a political forum, when I want to talk about certain activities I care to indulge in on occasion, I'll talk to my friends. Here is where I like to outlet my guitardedness!!

The issue was never whether or not I had broken the rules or not. I openly admit that I had and did.

The issue was the enforcement of the rules at random when previously they had never been and the lack of announcement that they would be.

If there is to be enforcement without knowledge to the userbase then the Admins are creating a userbase of folks that won't know when something will be enforced.

As the rules have been notoriously vague in the past it's easy to interpret the actions of most users as in violation in some aspect.

I've made no reference to others doing the same as I did and getting or not getting infractions.

The entire issue was over random enforcement of rules.

If you are interested in knowing more then please ask questions, nicely, rather than continue to make an ass of yourself.
