1967 chevelle ss with a modern 6.0L lq9 with a hotter cam, better heads, and raised compression ratio (aka 550hp with 25mpg).

Haha, true, but after spending $100's on tires a month you'd learn to drive easier. Guy with an s10 and 550hp is getting 26mpg right now with that 6.0L truck engine, cam, and forged pistons right now.

Bentley Continental Vs. Aston Martin DB9.
At the moment DB9 is ahead!

Sounds like we got a cpl lsx fans in here (ls1, ls6, ls2, ls4, ls7 gm v8s for those not in the know). If any of ya'll wanna learn more on the lsx engines go to ls1tech if you haven't already. I can spend hrs there daily and have learned a lot from those guys, they know their sh*t and are really cool.

I'd probably buy something else but I love old Hot Rods especially trucks.

A lot of you guys are crazy. Luckily for me, I've already got one of my dream cars (I already got my classic Corvette as soon as I wanna pay the $1200/month in insurance). 450 bhp 5.7L, with 500 ft/lb of torque, new wheels and a rebuilt interior. Removable hard top. I grew up in the car, and it's mine when I want it! That'll be in 10 years or so.
But when money permits, I will own a Ferrari 355. Not my favorite Ferrari by any means, but I'll have the money for it, so I'll buy it. I'd also love to own an old Nova, I'd love my brother's 62 Cadillac Coupe DeVille.
So I will own the Ferrari by the time I'm 40, that's almost guaranteed (put your mind to something, and you can do it). But if money permits (my wife's going to med school, so she'll be loaded), I'd love an old Ford GT (or GT40). I dunno if I'll have the room for 3 sports cars though. And the wife wants an old Triumph Spitfire, or Alfa Romeo Graduate or something small and convertible. So we'll have to buy one of those too.
$$$ is best spent on cars and living on the coast! Nothing better than those two things.
I really like the LS based motors. The camaro forums are a good source of info on the LS1. I'm leaning toward getting an LS1 Camaro and first doing full bolt on's, gears, stall converter, and a tune which should be good for between 315-330rwhp. Then maybe upgrade the internals so I can run a turbo(twin turbo?) or supercharger set up.
