good guitar teachers in san jose, ca area

my 12 yr old step-grandson emilio wants to take lessons. actually he has taken some thru his school over the last 5 months or so but the teacher is a flake. do any of you have recommendations on good teachers in the san jose area? thanks a bunch!

Hey man, Shout out to the bay area homie .

Anywho, I'd suggest that you look up Russ Pettit. He gives lessons down at Guitar Showcase on Bascom Avenue. I took lessons from him a few years ago, and he really helped me get my chops into shape. He studied with Joe Satriani back in the day as well.

Great teacher, Highly recommended.

I haven't been there in a few years, but Guitar Showcase was a top notch store when I was up in that area.
