A lot of people giving Scenes From a Memory props here. I was so unimpressed with that album. To me it was boring & pointless, & the end of my affinity for the band. I'll stick with Images & Words & Awake (& even A Change of Seasons & Falling Into Infinity). I bought Scenes, didn't like it. Bought Six Degrees, & don't think I ever completed the first listen. Haven't purchased anything from them since.

Blind guardian - Nightfall in Middle-Earth.

Go out and buy it and the Silmarillion and listen to the record until you are done reading it. Your life will be better afterwards, I promise

    Oh yeah......
If you guys have never had the chance to listen to "The Crimson Idol" by W.A.S.P. give it a try. Very underated and virtually "lost" due to it being released during the Grunge era. A must for any WASP fan!

I can't believe I forgot about coheed. All of coheed and cambria's albums are pretty good concept albums, I'd definitely recommend anything by them. As with some bands they are definitely an acquired taste due to the vocals mainly.

    W.A.S.P. the Crimson Idol....
it touched me so much I went out and bought a crimson red guitar... had to max out all 3 of my credit cards... since I was a poor college kid, I didn't get to eat for a week, but I had an awesome album and a new guitar!

Tommy, with Lola vs. Powerman and the Moneygoround, Part 1 as a very close second. (The Kinks basically did nothing but concept albums once they started.)

Someone has got to pick Aqualung...

Mine would have to be "Operation Mindcrime". I always did like Pink Floyds "Animals. I never though of it as concept album but, I guess it really is.
