I was not overly thrilled with any of the "stock" Stratocasters I looked at, so I bought two older Hwy 1s because I could get the vintage trem and a thin finish. I ended up swapping out the parts I did not want and now I have two strats that rival (IMO) any other strat out there, and I spent less than $750 total on each.
