So, I want another LP... I don't know why, I just want a LP which will last a lifetime and hopefuly a LP that's so nice that it will stop my LP GAS growing.
My local shop managed to get a 2004 LP standard and it is now going for $1500. I talked to the guy and the deal was that I will give him the PRS santana SE I bought from him back, and I ll buy the LP for $1000. It sounds great.... well, it's just a nice reasonable deal due to the original price of the PRS. I bought it for $650 I think.
Well a LP standard is a nice investment if I ever want to sell it.
So far so good.
Then I visit ebay, and check out some Grecos. I found this 1989 beauty which weights only 8 lb. no weight relief holes mint condition.
So this is the dilemma! What do I do? Buy the Gibson which has weight relief holes, and it's heavier and MAYBE not so nice sounding as the Greco? or buy the Greco for less? Note that the Greco is 1989 which is my year of birth.
I went home after playing the Gibson and wondered whether I really liked it or I was just caught up in the Gibson logo!
If the shop hadn't brought that Gibson, I wouldn't say that I want another LP. I would just shut up and play my '78 Greco.
Help guys! What do you think? Do I make any sense at all?
Thanks a lot
