    Question Coheed and Cambria?

Anyone heard of this group? My buddy is a huge fan of theirs and since he put the cd's on iTunes i've been listening to it quite a bit and I believe from a musical standpoint its excellent...its not repetitive, always new changes in the songs, and they always keep it interesting. I'll admit it takes some "growing on you" but I like their stuff although I can see why others absolutely hate them for their falsetto singing.

Co&Ca... they definitely have their moments... I'm not huge on them, but I certainly don't hate them.

If that's a question then the answer is a firm "No."

Claudio's singing voice is definitely an acquired taste, but it's no worse than listening to Rush or Led Zep for the most part. Vocals aside, Co&Ca are pretty awesome. I bought their last 2 albums about 2 wks ago and can't stop listening to Good Apollo I'm burning star vol.1, that album is pretty amazing and has some pretty good guitar playing going on. I've seen those guys play live, back before I really liked them, and they put on an awesome show with a lot of jamming and improvisation.

I can't stand coheed, but my mate is well into them, however calling them emo is really rediculously wrong.

Realistically Left Alone are way more emo than Coheed, i mean an album called 'lonely starts and broken hearts', and most of the songs off Dead American Radio had some of the most self-depressed emotional lyrics i've heard from a non-emo band.

Yeah the lyrics definitely are depressed and emotional, but at least he sounds like a man. I really honestly couldn't care less what the lyrics are, as long as you sing like a friggin man. I mean hell, Social Distortion and Bad Religion are "emo" from their lyrics (well, some BR), but they sing like dudes too.

Cool to see somebody else showing some LA love/hate though!

He only sings like a man because he REALLY wants to be Tim Armstrong.

Their music reminds me of being in a bar on esctacy while everyone is breathing in hot air balloons.

Coheed and Cambria are good, they sound alot like RUSH but not as much talent, I'm not knocking them, they do kick @ss! I have a buddy who is a huge mark for them.

They put on an amazing show and are super tight live, FWIW. I can't say that about most bands these days.
