I don't have an account, and never will.
I personally don't care for it. Granted, it can be a useful tool for some, but I prefer to avoid it if possible.

Louis XIII!!!
I don't really care for it but all my Military buddies have an account. So, I use it to keep in touch with all my friends accross the world. It helps with current events with their lives and my lives.

"Sic Transit Gloria...Glory Fades"
yeah you can find great music if you dig around with it. I use it just like msn or aim, to keep in touch with people i CAN'T HANG OUT WITH IN PERSON!!! i don't like the idea of using myspace to contact your neighbor...

I use mine to find old friends and to keep in touch with folks that I normally don't correspond with through typical methods. I,like Evan, find it useful to look up bands and hear their music.
Myspace is also very special to me because it's how I got back in touch with the girl I have had a crush on since the 9th grade!!! It just so happens that I am gonna marry that girl too! So....Myspace isn't all that bad!
I get weak in the knees at the sight of a vintage Fender amp!

I much, much prefer Facebook for personal use, but MySpace > * as far as music networking these days.

I use it to communicate with friends, whose emails I lost a long time ago.
As far as bands....I can't stand it when a band "releases" their new song on myspace. The myspace music player sucks for trying to download a song, playing songs, and sound quality. When I read a news article that says a band I like has a new song for preview on myspace, I don't even check it out.
And there's something about signed bands using myspace that makes them seem really low budget and down on their luck to me. I'd rather see a real band site like Rumpelstiltskin Grinder's: http://www.rumpelstiltskingrinder.com/
but I see how an up-and-coming or unsigned band would dig the 'space.

I have some friends that are allergic to telephones and for some reason use myspace to communicate almost exclusively.
I have also found many good friends I lost touch with over the years. For me it's pretty cool.

I use Myspace for putting up new songs and for gigs and for staying in touch with other musician friends who I rarely get to see. I recently produced 4 songs for an 18 year old singer songwriter who had never even done a gig. Myspace gave her an opportunity to get her music out to a lot of people. I think it's a good thing, especially for musicians.

I'm on mine all the time. it helps me stay in touch with people who i can't see very often, and yes, it is fun.
MIM Fender Strat > Crybaby > TweakFuzz > MIM Fender Blues jr.
I use it for one of my band and i's been awesome. Way more hits than our official site, getting a lot of more fans and package deals with other bands and it's a great way to have fast and personal contact with them. So we scored some gigs, purely thanks to MySpace !

Now, would I get a personal MySpace ? For my personal musical projects maybe, but not for my personal life ..
I've been driving all night, my hands wet on the wheel.

I use it to chat up teenage girls...![]()

You can put lipstick on a pig apparently. What people do in the privacy of their own homes should be their own business...

I had an account for less than a year, and closed it last week.
Some folks just have the recessive phone gene.
Despite the fact that I own and carry a cell phone about 90% of all use is incoming calls. And then calls are usually under two minutes in length.
I had a conversation with B Bent recently that was longer than any conversation I've had in the past few years topping out at I think 45 minutes. It was cool to talk to him...but weird to have a conversation go that long.
