    Default Yo, Invader clan.

How do you set the elevation level of invader in the bridge of a alder strat in relation to the strings to get the optimal sustain/pick harmonics ratio, what kind of tilt ? Thanks bros.

kinda low...a little bit higher than flush with the pickguard. i set it kinda flat but sometimes i'll go higher on the bass side and lower on the high strings. this way the low strings get a little bit more edge and the higher ones are not so harsh. but with that pickup there's really no need to go high...

I always kept the Invader low. The magnetic field is so strong it most likely can bend strings out of tune.

I treat it like any other pickup, and just adjust it until it sounds good.

^^ I thought that was obvious...he was asking how we set it up, so i figured how high or whatever we had it in our guitars

Yep, I have alder body/maple neck-no-fret-board neck strat, I use invader in the bridge, I was wondering what is the common tilt and elevation for maximum sustain on the treble strings and maximum mids in the pick harmonics on the bass strings.

Oh, sorry. I think mine are fairly high, like most of my 'buckers. It is backed off a bit on the bass side, though.

No magnet pull that shortens your sustain on the treble strings?

Mine are fairly high. No loss of sustain, and all kinds of oomph. Man I love them so much.

No, it's a cheaper version made offshore to be OEM on some manufacturers' lines. Do some reading on here and you'll see.

Oh ok. Thanks. But lets get back to the whole thing of how do you position your invader for maximum sastain on the treble strings, and the most mids(cut through) for pick harmonics on your bass strings

I just monkeyed with the height, playing various riffs, until I found where I liked it. Harmonics are jumping out everywhere now, and the notes hold real well.
