    Default Modyfying a Squire

    Hey guys,

Thanks for the pickup advice. I've stumbled upone a package called "Seymour Duncan Everything Axe single coil set" Individually the pickups are: Bridge: SJBJ-1b (JB, Jr.), Middle: SDBR-1n (Duckbucker), Neck: SL59-1n (Little '59)
From what I read this is a great set up for a rock style, and buying it as a pack comes at a price quite a bit less than if bought seperately. The thing I'm looking to do is take a Korean Squire and have all the electronics, hardware, and pickups changed. I'm very used to playing this one specific guitar. I understand that wood grain affects tone, but if I replace all those other components, would I be left with a great combination? or should I upgrade bodies before moving on??

This is just my opinion, but I think it would be fine with the squier body. Some Squiers can be pretty darn good axes. If you find you make all those mods and don't like it, then you could go ahead and change the body.
You can run over a Tele with a pickup truck, pick it up - and it'll still play out of tune

Thanks for the reply (I see you work wit ha Squire too) I'm jsut wondering if mine too is an Affinity, really, the only thing I visually notice about this model that varies from most other Squires is the Rosewood neck, which mine has. Any way to tell?
