For anyone who didn't read the test clip thread, this is the Dean w/a Duncan Distortion bridge pup into the GuitarPort. Amp model is the Uberschall w/clean boost, reverb, delay, & chorus. Cab model is a 4x12 w/V30's. I made some changes to a couple of the riffs & got the mix pretty much where I want it.

    Hope ya dig it!

    Thanks guys!

The drums are a pattern I bought specifically for the RiffWorks recording software I use. When you buy the Line 6 RiffTracker, the RW program comes loaded with maybe a dozen drum patterns, & you can buy additional ones online for it.

    Nice stuff, there.

When it comes to the Guitar Port stuff, can you still find drums for it? 99% of the ones I come across are for Tone Ports. Are they compatible? I stopped using the pre-loaded drums because they effected my writing in a negative way. I may have to splurge on some model packs, too. I dig that Uberschall model.

Well, RiffWorks is the program using the drummers, so Toneport/Guitarport shouldn't matter.

I buy them from the Sonoma Wire Works site: http://www.sonomawireworks.com/store/

So far I've liked the offerings from Discrete Drums & Sonic Reality the best.

Ah, I just use the RiffTracker that came with the Guitar Port, and I think it's older than the version 2.0 needed for those drums... I'll have to drag my laptop into work to see if I can update that. Thanks.

Lol, glad you liked it! I like to sneak up with the heavy riff.

That chorus riff got me a couple of Foo Fighters comparisons elsewhere...I wasn't thinking of them at all. I think it was the chord shape + the bass line moving around a bit under it. My favorite part right now is when the 3rd riff changes from power chords to single string (1st happens @ 2:16).
