Need help to install a SH-8B pickup on an Ibanez SC620

What's up everybody! This is my first post and I really hope I can get some help with my problem.

I just bought a Seymour Duncan SH-8 Invader bridge pickup to breathe new life into my nine year old Ibanez SC620.

The SC620 has double humbuckers but since I exclusively use the bridge pickup only I want to install my SH-8 as the only pick-up and leave the neck pickup "un-connected".

The SC620 has a five-way switch but I only want the first setting (to the right) to "activate" the SH-8, all other settings should result in "no sound at all".

Is it possible to hook up the Sh-8 the way I want, and if so, how do I do it?

As you most likely notice I know nothing about installing pickups so I really need help with this. =) I hope my description of my problem wasn't too confusing!

why not to bypass the switch completely and wire it directly to the volume and tone controls?
