Default Alder or Ash for a traditional tele?

I picked up a maple on maple tele neck pretty cheap. Now I'm on the hunt for a body!

Go with Ash, I never liked the way those 60s type Alder teles sounded. But that could be because ofa lot more things that body wood. Still, Ash will give you that traditional woody tele tone that everyone loves, and all the best teles I've played are made of ash. Good luck

Brent, I have a nice one piece blank of ash around here. I need a Maple body blank. If anyone has one of those it would be you.

Huh, how bout it? I of course have tele templates too.
