A little self aggrandizement here;
In brief, I am flying to Columbia South Carolina( will fly into raliegh -Durham and drive a rent a car to Columbia) from South Texas to pick up this truck next week.I will drive it back. Its a 2004 Toyota Tacoma extended cab with 47,000 original miles. I am paying low blue on it.
Its an extended cab with the SR5 package.Silver metallic in color. All maintenace records and new Bridgestone Duelers, Rhino-lined bed and aluminum Tool box.
Itas the 2.4 Liter 4 banger engine with Std. Tarnsmission, Its the non -pre-runner( i think the picture is of the v6/prerunner which sits a little higher)and Its the exact model i want. I would prefer charcoal metallic gray(its silver metallic) . Anyone want to meet me on my way back and I will buy lunch. I will be coming down through Atlanta and Mississippi and then through New orleans, Houston and back home.

One of my favorite vehicles was a Toyota Tacoma. Change the oil, and do basic maintenance, and that thing will run fine forever.

My dream truck is a 4 door Tundra, loaded with everything. That has got to be my next vehicle.

i like it..... I like and own a Toyota car.... i like the trucks.... good thing yours is a 2004... the 2007 Camry V6 and the Tacoma Pickups are having lots and lots of transmission issues....

I notice some issues with my 2005 Camry's Tranny once in a while but whenever i have them look at it they say it's working fine.....

My dad has a Tacoma. Last year he drove it from Calgary to Guatemala City and back with zero issues. He bought some kit that turned it into a mini camper.

We have a 4-runner with a 2.4 4 knocker... I can honestly say.... That engine gets great gas mileage and all.. But don't try to take it up any hills....

Hi Les Strat. I will pick the truck up in Columbia SC on Thursday, and probably strat back on Friday afternoon. Im going to drive straight through to Mobile ALabama probably, then start out on the homestretch Saturday afternoon.That means I should be in Lafayette around, i guess, 4pm Saturday.PM me if it looks like youll be able to meet up for lunch or just to grab a coke and chat for awhile.(my treat).I will probably make it home around 2 am Sunday morning I hope.

No , I havent, but im open to all posibilities ! Shouldnt be much of a rush hour through Lafayette on Saturday I would hope?
