Sweeeeeet. Very excellent playing. Way beyond my abilities, and I've been playing more than four years.
The way the video was made makes your hands look like you're a ghost.![]()

Thats pretty crazy on the eyes and ears

I've been playing 7 years and consider myself accomplished for someone who has been playing pretty dedicated (self taught).
Your talent is unnatural. It's true that some people have a gift. I'm hoping mine is with melody, because speed wise, I'll never match anyone remotely close to you.
You accomplished this much in 2 years, if you keep at it, there's not a doubt in mine (or I'm guessing anyone else's here) that you'll become the next John Petrucci/Steve Vai/Joe Satriani/Yngwie Malmsteen...
I kinda wish I didn't see that. I see talented youngsters like you and I know I can never match that in a lifetime what you've accomplished in two years. Talent like that just blows my mind.

i reluctantly agree, i have been playing for 2 years, 1 1/2 with a teacher, and i have had no previous guitar experience before that...but DAMN! that was amazing, i cant get the sweep down i have LOTS of issues with it..the main on is that i cant do it lol. but i wanna learn how. man watching that made me feel like i have accomplished nothing in my 2 years of playing, i wish i had a better way to record so i could try and get my stuff on the board, maybe some tips on my own stuff would help. all i have to say is congratso n the playng....u put me to shameOriginally Posted by the_Chris

Don't be one of those guys who just shreds in their bedroom. The human dynamic is really important in becoming a well rounded musician.

thanks again guys
i've been thinking though
that these shred drills are so damn much easier to do than an improvisation i recorded the other day. and nevertheless, playing very fast impresses people alot more.
i also find that when i pick up a guitar in a guitarstore. if i play jazz/fusion licks (i consider them to be harder) no one gives a crap, but when i start running i get alot of attention.
maybe its my lousy fusion playing![]()

D7th - Totally awesome, It's guys like you and Nuntius that give me the inspiration to keep playing.
That reminds me of some bio-feedback theory I read once - something about inadvertantly learning the mistakes you make as strongly as the parts you get right, that's why alot of people will make the exact same mistake over and over again.Originally Posted by nuntius

Not gonna miss you know!
Information is not knowledge.

i usually hate kids like you because they are usually so full of themselves but you are very humble about it. i like how you started of classicly. im sure it helps. good job

i think a lot of people lie about their age here... =P man, i'm still stumped.. sure, i can fake the speed and shredding.. but mine looks more like malmsteen going crazy.. nowhere near that clean.. and sweeping like that, usually ends like a wet dream
As I climb onto your back, I will promise not to sting
I will tell you what you want to hear and not mean anything
Then I treat you like a dog as I shoot my venom in
You pretend you didn't know that I am a scorpion, ya!

im curious..
how much did the classical guitar really help you as far as your electric playing? im guessing for sweeping, that would help alot but what else?
classical guitar realy helps you to sound out more, even more than on an american-style acoustic guitar.
also classical guitar has alot of "rules" on how to properly play the guitar, right and left hand techniques and proper positioning, and most importantly left hand fingerings.
the fretboard is alot bigger so you gotta develop all your fingers alot earlier than usuall.
there are tons of other factors im probably not thinking about right now.
