I have Sweetwater telling me that if my order shipped yesterday, it should get to me today. I have FedEx telling me "Your order has shipped. Check back later for further details."

That's been the message since 7:30 this morning. I swear they only update their online tracking once every second or third day. Lazy asses.

The anticipation is killing me. Every time I hear the elevator, my brain goes "Is it the delivery guy?"

Yeah, online tracking drives me nuts. But sweet score. I love me some Gibson hollow bodies. That thing is probably gonna be the pug's nugs.

Fedex is the good one. Their online tracking is actually a tracking service even if it is sometimes a few hours out-of-date. USPS is the one that sucks rocks. Their tracking service doesn't track. It can only verify if the package was picked up and shipped. Whatever happens in the meantime and how long the meantime is is anyone's guess.

There was, in the immediate vicinity: A UPS truck, a DHL truck, a FedEx truck, and as I stood there, the USPS drove by.

I am on high alert.

Cool. I've thought of getting a 137 Classic before. I like the fact that they're set up like a Les Paul, rather than a lot of other semi hollows with Bigsbys, trapeze, or floating wood bridges.

Hm. I ordered some CDs last week to give as presents. They arrived yesterday. I checked the OOPS...*ahem*...UPS tracking, and it said, "On Truck For Delivery." It was delivered about 30 minutes later.

That's because USPS doesn't offer tracking, they offer delivery confirmation.

FedEx blows... plain and simple. They don't offer legit insurance on musical instruments and shouldn't be used period. I've had more issues with them than even everybody's favorite boys in brown.
