Question about pickups and (strat style) vintage tremolo

hey does anyone know why Seymour Duncan recommends the SH-6B if you have the vinttrem, but the sh-4 if you have a standard bridge??? does it really sound that different? i dont even use the whammy, its lame... i think im just goona load it up with springs so... why would they suggest diff pickups for diff bridge styles??? does the bridge type affect the tone of you guitar???
