B-Band acoustic pickup mic came unhooked need some help plz...

hey i have an old washburn acoustic with a b-band pickup in it. apparently the mic on the inside has come unhooked and now is swinging back and forth cause a nice banging sound to come out of my amp. Anyway,

1. What is the best thing to reattach the mic with??? 2 sided tape?
and
2. where should be be attached? on the back front or top???

Any info or help would be awesome thanx

oh yea and i asked the washburn guys and they had no idea what i was talking about... great customer support, fast, but crappy :P
