Default I need Help choosing a Pickup

I know this has been asked a million times ..But maybe with some help i can narrow down the pickup selection.. there is soooooooooo many to choose from.

I have several Guitars, and has anybody played a Dearmond Starfire with the Dearmond Gold tone Pickups>>> I like that tone., but hard to find the pickups.

I would like to buy a bridge, maybe a pair for my Yamaha Weddington Custom.. These came with Dimarzio's

This guitar has a 2- volume 2- tone and a 5 way selector switch. I cannot find the wiring diagram.

I like heavy rock, classic rock, but i dont like alot of Distortion.. I am looking for more of a Bass type pickup, that is good with the highs

Does the SD wizard get it right..

IF so... for this guitar they recommend a SH-JB for the bridge and a SH-59 for the neck.

What would be an all around good pickup to buy.. I mostly play in the bridge position. that would cover clean to Dirty but not too dirty..

The JB has a bit of an upper mids spike. I have one in a Hamer, and I generally don't care for it. It depends on which amp I'm using, but when that spike kicks in, I do find it annoying. However, others do like the JB. It is a popular pup. A set 59s might be a place to start, and there are others who might be able to talk a bit about the Custom and the PG.

I have a Schecter 006 Blackjack that came with a JB in the bridge and a 59 in the neck. The Schecter is a very dark sounding wood. They call it mahogany, but it doesn't feel or sound like mahogany to me. Any way, the JB sounds good in that guitar clean and distorted, and upper mid punch is just what this wood needs, I did take the 59 out and put a SH2n Jazz pup in the neck. That is a super sweet combination. The Blackjack is wired to combine the split coils in series and in parallel, and every combination sounds more musical with the SH2N. Don't let the name "Jazz" put you off. It can do everything with the possible exception of metal.

You might want to check out the Duncan Jazz pickup. The 59 sounds good too.

Hey thanks, for the info.. The Guitar i am using is Mahogany/ Maple top with a Ebony neck..
As far as Mahogany goes.. there are a couple species..that i know of >>> Honduras and African.
I have work 26 years with Honduras Mahogany , and there isnt alot of grain with this type.. If you see alot of grain its probably African Mahogany and this wood is also heavier.
