OK guys this is the first time i have ever shared my music with anyone so here go's.

First off i have only done some basic leveling and these are not mixed as of yet. take a listen to all 3. If your into metal thats great but i am a death metal guy but recently have gone into i differant direction, I have eased back my distortion alot and slowed everything down to a kind of Alt metal.

these arent very good but its what i have been up to. Also the solos in them atent that good but i tried to tie it all together.

just listened to new **** again, its really cool and i like the tone your getting

the backing is good on all three of them what did you use for the drums?

i liked slow death the most, its got some huge chords in it and its kinda hypnotic to listen to

The drums i had a friend come in and do hits [pop the snare, tom, bass, hi hat, symbol etc] and record them in protools saving each one as a seperate file. Then i use an open file pallet and draw out a drum line [kick1 and hihat2 snare3 etc] kind of like a drum machine but i insert the real drums instead of using the actual drum machine. Although i do use a drum machine to ruogh out the track then insert the real drums, just a matter of cut and reinsert the proper drum and follow the pattern.

I tried alot of stop start patterns and overlapping patterns as well. I never actually done anything like that before but i was reading about nuno bettencourt and how he would do those things and make his guitar huge without sacraficing tone. its still a work in progress but i have about 2 more songs i am in the middle of recording.

at anyrate thanks for the compliment i am pretty shy when it comes to my playing as im not really all that good but i love playing more than anything and i figured what the hell everyone else is sharing why not.

Hey dude you ain't got nothing to be ashamed of. Youre playing sounds pretty good to me. Sounds like you have a good base to build on to. BTW how you enjoying thayt Peavey XXX? I love mine What effects are you using with it?

Thanks man. I love my XXX it was love the first time i pluged it in and hit my first note. as far as FX i use a 7 band EQ. chorus [just a bit though to add depth] and a compressor.

basic setup and thanks again for the compliment. I need to sit down more often and try to tighten up my chops and what not.
