    Probably from a local dealer...

Okay, I'm gonna call the winner - The Classic Player Baja Telecaster in Honey Blonde

I know the switching is cool and the pickups are decent; but this one's gonna be fully Duncanized with a JD model in the bridge and an APS-2 in the neck. I'm also going to have another wiring assembly available to change out. It's going to be the Jerry Donahue wiring. So, if anyone has a wiring diagram, I would appreciate you sharing it.

well, you've already picked, but I would've voted Baja -- great specs, and a real player.

I've heard the stock pickups sound very good. I was seriously interested when they came out ... went and looked at one, but didn't plug in. Like all Fenders, the weight varies.

I read last night that there might be some good deals on those at GC, so check and see.

    and definitely, the honey blonde!

    Hi Curly,

I did pick the Baja. I was at GC the other day. They have one that has a ding on it where the strap button on the bottom is. I can get it for about $600. The problem with that particular guitar is that the finish is desert sand or it would already be at my house....

The honey blonde is almost impossible to find in-stock. GC only carries the desert and considers the honey blonde a special order (not sure why). Ebay and Elderly is the only place I've seen the honey blondes.

That said, I just scored a second baja from GC last night for $460. I wanted the neck for m current baja (it was a little darker and chunkier) so now I have a second baja that I'm parting out to try and make my $$ back. My honey blonde now has the better of the two necks (to me, both are great) and I too am adding a DUncan 59 bridge (tapped) and a Dimarzio Area-T neck. SO I also have two sets of the custom shop pups and S1 switching controls to hoc.

Yeah, me too. Dave's Guitars has a nice honey blonde. I know GC does that crap all the time. It gets old....
