Default One step closer to Vintage ??????

I love the JB/Jazz combo in everything I've put it in. Mainly Basswood and a Mahagony Les Paul copy.

I was thinking though that the Les Paul could be a touch more on the vintage side and less 'Modern".

What would you suggest for this without going tooooo far from the JB/jazz tone?

Custom 5-59n, my favorite Duncan pickup set. A set of 59's are good too, sounds like what a Les Paul should (sound like)to me. The Custom 5 just boosts up the bridge for when you wanna get nasty.
