Honestly... I feel really bad for her. There was a news article recently that said one of the last sightings of her before she went in was where she was sitting on a porch holding her puppy and crying.
Everything in her life has been mishandled, exploited, and made a spectacle of. Some of it's her fault, some of it's not. Either way she needs to start over.

As a fellow human being, I sincerely hope she can get out of the music buisness. She probably has enough money to live on for a long time, right now she really needs help so she can start over with clean sheets.

Some folks can go through that level of public interest and be grounded and handle it.
Look at someone like Mick Jagger. He spent decades under the microscope, maybe not as intensively, but he spent a long ****ed time doing it.
It can all be resolved with a solid stint in a rehab center AWAY from the paparazzi and then walking away from the music industry to get her life back together.
Seriously though....who thought K-Fed would be the guy to step up and do right in all of this?

Funny that you bring Madonna up because I think Ms. Spears is this generations "Madonna". Their careers up to this point in Britney's aren't all that dissimilar. I think she'll turn her life around and make a come back. Whether we all like to admit it or not, she does have some talent.

"Talent" is debatable.
But she does have name recognition. Capitalizing on that is easy.
It would take a year with Rehab and a trainer and a good solid counselor to put her back mentally and physically.
Hire some good writers, book a weekend in a studio and it's a done deal.

I have been thinking lately that Britney might be unintentionally serving a purpose through all of this, demonstrating to a world which is rapidly reaching the critical mass of meaninglessness in its chosen set of values, that the illusions of fame, wealth, and some would say beauty, do not equate to happiness or peace. She has those things, some of them in abundance, and yet she is miserable, and in fact a lot more messed up than many who have very little. I wonder if it will be enough to make anyone else question whether or not those things are worth the cost of what it can take to get them. She's another human being, so I hope she gets help, just as I hope the junkie on the street corner gets help.
