I'm going to try another makeover for my strat since I haven't been happy with the pickups I've tried. I'm dropping the middle pickup, tightening/blocking the trem, moving back up to 11s, adding a 3-way, 1 tone/1 volume. I want a more modern, beefier sound better suited to clean and medium-high gain rhythm. Here's what I'm looking at:

Neck - Bluesbucker, Virtual Vintage Solo Pro, Virtual Vintage Heavy Blues 2
Bridge - Bluesbucker, Mo' Joe

Or some real P 90s, which opens up another slew of choices - not necessarily a bad thing. Any thoughts? I'd like to stay in the Dimarzio lineup for this one - no Phat Cats!
