What do you want? I know I want a Gibson SG Classic. I want another Gibson P-90 loaded guitar that has one in the neck. But that's just me.

Well, I've been eyeballing a Fender American Standard, but I just wanna keep all options open at the moment.

I REALLY want a Heritage LP, but I can't swing that much cash now. :/

What do you currently have, guitar and amps? What type of music do you play? What about recording gear?

Have you ever played any of those? I've probably played about 20 Heritage's. Maybe 10 of those were LP type models. I personally thought they were very well built and beautiful instruments. However, I didn't like the way they played. I didn't think they played like a Gibson at all. Something about the fretboards was totally flat to me....or something. I'm not sure what it was and it's kind of hard to describe, but that's just they way they felt to me. They just felt really hard (the fretboard) to my fingers.....or something. I know alot of folks go on about Heritage and all about them being the original Gibson factory and all that same thing great deal thing, but I just didn't dig them. I guarantee if you blindfolded me, handed me 5 Gibsons and handed me 5 Heritages....I could feel the difference. I'm just sayin. Maybe it's me....I don't know.

Coz the tuners and strap buttons on the Heritages would be installed properly? j/k

If you want a USA Strat, get one. Do yourself a favor and buy used.
Buy the book in my avatar. It's pretty cool.

Maybe look at an MIJ Edwards LP or MIJ Bacchus LP instead.

Also, MIJ Tokai or an Epi Elitist.

    All very respectable LP types.

    Check Ebay.

Seriously, get an Edwards and have cash left over! It comes with Duncans too from the factory. Great guitars and a Gibson killer.

Walk into a GC, ask for an American Deluxe from the top row (inspect if carefully). Flash the cash and say you'll take it out the door at 1 K even.....worked for me.

To heck with the imports, man. Get yourself a used USA Hamer. You pick the flavor, they're all winners.

I think this is an excellent idea. It's your $$$...if we were voting, I would vote for a new amp (and a high quality selector box). I think everyone should have at least 1 one 6V6, 6L6, El34 and El84 amp (I'm halfway there, myself)...Unless, of course, you already have a bunch of different amps...
