Which Pickups would suit best?
Hey guys, looking for a suggestion.
Never swapped pickups before but im looking for something which can be detuned to drop d and drop c and not sound muddy. I mostly play in standard tuning, but I do occasionally need to drop, and maintain a clear sound. I have an epiphone Les Paul standard and I play thru a Marshall DSL 50 half stack. Im looking to achieve a sound along the lines of Thrice and Everytime I Die. Thanks.

A Jazz in the neck with a Demon in the bridge would stay clear when drop tuning, as long as you're upping the string guage to compensate for the decrease in string tension.

Ive heard that Custom 5's are great for that sounds. Would you also recommend that one? Ive been told a 5 with a 59 in the neck is really good too.

The 59n/C5 combo is too boomy for me. I'd fear that it would get muddy when downtuning.
