Stoner Rock and Stoner Metal are interchangeable terms describing sub-genres of rock and metal music. Stoner rock is typically slow-to-mid tempo, low-tuned and bass-heavy. It incorporates elements of Psychedelic Rock, Blues-Rock and Doom Metal into a more repetitive and riff-centred style. Melodic vocals and 'retro' production are also common traits.

yeah, those dudes were TOTALLY into it.

    DETAILS:
1992 fender MIM tele body (poplar) / bridge / control plate
1996 '68 reissue MIJ strat neck
quarter pound for tele bridge, '59 trembucker in the middle, bridge model vintage p90 in the neck (all duncans, obviously)
push / pull knobs - volume wired to split humbucker, tone wired for bridge on / off

several coats of acrylic paint atop the original finish

EDIT: anyway to make the board auto - resize these pics or do i need to hop into photoshop?

Nothing better to play for a bunch of the "arm crossers" lol

We used to call those types "beards" because they were the type that would stand in the back stroking their bears and checking out the backlines and such rather than enjoying the music lol

Parts all went together very well...everything lines up nicely....resonates like crazy unplugged...very lively and responsive to play plugged into my Marshall. Just a great sounding guitar. Couldn't be happier with how it came out!

scottish, d1dsj, drunkinminer and muttznmongrelz: nice Teles. I particularly dig Scottish's spalted top Tele. Is that a Warmoth guitar? IIRC the Fender spalted Tele was HH with a Strat hardtail bridge.

d1dsj: That tele does belong here. It may be HSS and it may have a Floyd (on a tele? ugh) but the finish alone and it's uniqueness makes it welcome!! I'd rock it.

posted in my own thread, but I figured I'd post my tele's new look here as well

You can run over a Tele with a pickup truck, pick it up - and it'll still play out of tune
