thanks man! gotta share the tele love with everybody! it's crazy how long this thread has been going for, guess a lot of people here like teles, but can you blame them?

Nope. Has the Les Paul thrread gotten 12 pages? I love going through this and looking at all the different Teles, yet I don't have GAS, the 2 I have are giving me exactly what I want from them.

Whoever says Teles can't do heavy music could easily be proven wrong by many of the ones posted in here, including ours.

hell yeah!!! Teles can be whatever you want them to be, from country to blues to rock to heavy metal, Teles do it all.

BTW, if anyone wants to hear a tele playing metal, listen to some of Thursday's stuff. One of their guitarists uses a tele with hot rails bridge and QP neck.

True, or you could put on Killing In The Name, Wake Up, Born of A Broken Man or Testify by Rage Against The Machine and hear a Tele in the hands of one of the most original metal guitarists.

My P-Railed J5 Tele is much more capable of being more versatile that it was to begin with.

scottish, d1dsj, drunkinminer and muttznmongrelz: nice Teles. I particularly dig Scottish's spalted top Tele. Is that a Warmoth guitar? IIRC the Fender spalted Tele was HH with a Strat hardtail bridge.

Nah. I built it myself. The neck is from USACG. I carved the body from two piece mahogany with a spalted top. I scored the spalt from a canadian dealer. I havent seen much since that rivals it.

Looks like a well-done build!! I'm not surprised that maple that beautiful came from the great white north. We Canucks are known well for our wood!
