    Default HELP Basslines Mounting Screws!

    Hi
I have a set of SPB-3's that are missing the mounting screws. Can anyone tell me what size screw these take? I'm hoping I can pick up something that will be the right diameter at the local hardware store. I'm not too keen on the idea of having to order just 4 screws from a dealer or drilling the covers to get these installed.
    Your help is appreciated.

    Thanks

I went to Lowes today with no luck. The hole size in the covers is roughly 3/32" which I think is about a #2 screw. The smallest Lowes had was a
#4 x1" which is too big. There's not any leeway for drilling out the holes in the covers, so that's not an option. I'm going to try a specialty house tomorrow. I'll let everyone know how I make out.

I really feel that any company that makes a replacement pickup should make sure their products use the stock size screws. You shouldn't have to spend time looking for a special screw just to mount a pickup. It looks like these require a #2 x 1 1/2 or 2 inch screw. A real pain in the butt to locate. I've had the same issue with EMG's in a Pbass in the past. They also use a special sized screw.

    Thanks

They are limited to what the guitar/bass makers use, as the screws have to fit the pickguards so they dont have much to play around with.

Tried a couple of speciality houses here locally but nobody stocks anything close.

I contacted SD via their online support link yesterday and got a reply back the same afternoon. They are sending me a replacement set of mounting hardware for the PU's to my house.

    Nice work SD!
    Thanks
