Hello all. I have a PRS Standard 24, which is an all-mahogany guitar (body and neck). Needless to say, it has a strong mid-range. I'd like to switch out the pickups to get a brighter top end and chunkier/tighter bottom. And, even though it's going against the wood's natural characteristics, I'd like to find a set of pickups that gives me less mid-range. Any suggestions? I seem to be lost and confused in the world of d.c. resistance, resonance peak, etc.! I want to be able to play smooth, clean, glassy tones, and yet I want the ability to push the pickups to a singing (even raw) distortion with sweet harmonics. Can anyone help??? Thanks!
