Do you have a pull/push pot in it?

No but it has a 5 way pup switch that splits the coils and a phase switch.

Yeah black would look cool! It has Sperzel locking tuners though, just in the brushed chrome color.

Yeah they`re Carvin C22 pups and the double pole pieces are so there is no loss/drop of signal when doing bends or something as they put it. They do sound great imo though! And with the 5 way switch you can go from blues/jazz all the way to the heaviest of metal!

One of these days, I'm gonna build me a dead-simple player guitar with a Carvin bolt neck. Even the aftermarket ones they sell as kits, the necks are top notch.

I really believe Carvin necks are one of the best if not the best!

Carvins play well, but my hand is a bit big for the neck profiles they use...bummer. I've tried just "getting used to it" but ended up with cramps in the fret hand. I called their customer service line and asked if they did custom profiles on the necks they sell, but the guy on the phone said "No." Other than that, I'd probably get another Carvin at some point.

Do they seem too flat for you? Because my Bolt Pus (pictured in this thread) has a nice chunky C shaped neck profile that is very comfy and my hands are big as well!

Looks cool man the set up is similar to my Washburn MG's. That is a super versatile set up when done right!
The necks on the newer Carvins are just to chunky for me and my hand goes numb playing on those. I don't know how many times I hear folks gripe about the slim necks on carvins that have not been used since the early 90's. Get a grip guys it's not true now and hasn't been for over 12 years!! I love Carvins can't play um now because the profile since 96 on the DC's is to thick!! My 96 and 97 DC 145 and 135 I had built both came in with a blasted Baseball bat for necks!! Thicker even than the fat wide PRS profiles!!!

Nah, take it out on an overcast day - much more even lighting and no harsh contrast to deal with.
