Default Melody Maker and Hot Rails?

I just got a new Gibson Melody Maker, the 59 Reissue model with two pickups.

I'm thinking about beefing it up. Does anybody know if a Hot Rails Strat pickup will fit in the MM's pickguard without modification?

    Thanks.

the hot rails will fit into any single coil slot. i've seen someone else with a hotrails in their MM's neck but i cant remember who. anyway i'd love to have one with a HR and CR just so i could have a neat little gibson for cheap (and with a more rockin pickup config)

edit: just make sure you get the HR for "strat". they have a "tele" one that wouldnt work at all
