Default Great Vinyl Scores This Weekend

A buddy at work sold me 2 12" Clash singles, Radio Clash (w/ B-sides Outside Broadcast and Radio 5) and Rock the Casbah (B side: Mustapha Dance), both 1st pressings, both for $5.

Then today on my way to buy picks and a new capo I came across a yardsale where I picked up Billy Idol Vital Idol (it's got mostly good cuts) and, more importantly; The Alice Cooper Show (w/ Prakash John on bass), got both for $1.

So yeah the internet is a great place to find vinyl, but man I just got a few sick scores along with a decent LP for $6.

...I've already listened to them all. Btw, who else still owns & PLAYS their vinyl?

I do. Bought 150 vinyls or so last year. This year has been a lot drier, but I still prefer vinyl to cd. In general, I think the cd is a dying media, but I'll save that for a different topic.

I missed you dude! Yeah, I still spin 45's and 33 rpm records. I have a good collection. CD's sure are easier to store though. Have a great weekend!

Wow, I thought you got banned and/died FP, you haven't posted for a while. Def a good score, tho. I wish I had a good stereo and rec player of my own, vinyl sounds amazing.

Nah I've just been working a lot, been with my g/f and up until recently, practising with the band, which broke up

I picked up an andres segovia

Sonata romantica pressed in 1958 for 1 buck at a library sale.
How i got the nick name Buckethead. It was Easter Sunday 1984 and my grandmother bought me a Plastic bucket with Easter eggs and candy, to which i promptly dumped all said contents and put the bucket on my head. I am not the musician Buckethead nor do i claim to be.

It had to have been scratched beyond all recognition. Id say 90% of the vinyl i see is.
Anyway, Segovia is overrated. John Mayer is a much better guitarist.

Yeah I still have a few hundred pieces left though I got rid of about 1500 LP's a few years ago. Still got my reliable old Pioneer PL-960 turntable infact I picked up a new cartridge not too long ago, whew what a difference that made. I've had this table for oh 23-24 years now.

I rarely pickup any vinyl anymore though occassionally there will be something I just have to have. My friends shop has tons of stuff and there is a lot of new vinyl being released/re-issued by companies like Sundazed.

My younger bro "borrowed" my original Epic 12" of Magnificent Dance (with the roulette wheel spinning). Those blokes threw down, no question.
