    Default New Sd pickes set

    Hi !!!
I want a new SD pickups (Single coil) for my new ALDER / RW Strato guitar.

Anyone can tell me how STK-S4 Classic Stack Plus® for Strat® sounds on NECK position?
How comparable is that pickup with DMZ Virtual Vintage/AREAS Series pickups?

I need a Single coil pickup sounds in neck position, but with some "body"... to play clean blues, and (rolling off the tone pot a little...) a kind of jazz sound (but not to warm like a full humbucker sound...).

Can someone help me choosing the right pickup? (Humm cancelling pickup!)
(STK-S4 ?, Vintage Rails?, Cool Rails?, DMZ Virtual Vintage?, DMZ Area 61? Fender Noiseless?.....hooo...so many...)

    Thanks!
    Pedro

the classic stack + are very close to a vintage strat sound but a little fatter and warmer sounding when heard side by side. i havent tried the new dmz area pups but i like the cs+ better than the vv series.

i dont like the fender noisless varietys. of the vintage rails, cool rails etc... that you listed above i like the cs+ the best.

i think youll be quite happy with the notch tone. you can also split those two pups in the notch position and still get humcancelling. i have mine wired that way but in all honesty there isnt a heck of a lot of difference.

From my point of view, Vintage Rails is some of the best single coil pickups I've ever experienced with. One of my friends got a Yamaha Strat guitar with the same features as yours and wanted to play mainly blues and go from there to classic rock, so I've come up with the Vintage Rails for the neck position and he's been loving it since day 1. I can't speak for any other genres, but for blues and jazz VR is the best option you could get out of hum-cancelling single coils for the neck position..

I'd really like to play a CR-VR-HR strat sometime, I've heard great things about that set. Actually, I've got a pickguard with an old-style hot rails in it, but I need a strat to put it in. **** Gas...
