Anyone know how to date 'em? This looks absolutely gorgeous, but I have no clue when it was made and solid info seems very hard to come by...

In the immoral words of the great warrior Poet Ice Cube, if the day does not require an AK, it is good.

Wish I did know. It looks absolutely mint from what I can see. If I was in the UK at the moment, I'd be tempted to go and take a look at it myself. I remember having an Aria catalogue somewhere around the mid-late 70's and I'm sure these were listed in it. They used to do a really nice tobaco sunburst IIRC that I'd have had in a heartbeat.

You could do worse than this site, without a model or serial number though, you could be a while. The Guitars of Matsumoku

*obligatory and lame post about maybe buying it some flowers first*
Peace,
Dan
I spent a long time on it earlier - think it's a 1977 LC 550VS; not one of the higher price models, but still looks really good.

The same Ebay seller is also selling two Aria bursts, one of which has DiMarzios, which suggests it's a higher grade model from what I've read on that site...they don'thave the vibe of this 550 though; the colour is incredible...I am sorely tempted, but £500 is a lot for an Aria...
