There were about 600 cars this year. These were my favorite pics of the litter. Had a great time. Perfect weather as expected.

I've never had a thing for cars, but these pictures are awesome!!
To have fresh roadkill out of those wheels.
One question though... where are teh babes?

I've gone to car shows ever since I was born, since my dad is a huge car nut.
I love car shows, but sometimes they just bum me out because I want that kind of stuff, but it's way outta reach.

Car shows are the same around here. Old guys with super expensive cars and no hawt chicks. Motorcycle shops have started having alot of stuff and that's the place to be! Younger crowd, usually live rock bands, and lots of HAWT CHICKS!!!!
I never fly because the Lord said: "Low, and I will be with thee."

Wow talk about some cool wheels!
I was thinking "Mais wha? DLT cars and no roadkill?! Something is not right in the world" and then BAM picture of guys scraping roadkill of the road hiting me in the face like a flying squirel on drugs.
Man did I laugh.
That's good old DLT for ya.

Yeah, motorcycles have kinda taken over for the younger crowd. Nobody has money for old 9 miles per gallon relics except for old rich guys. Cool to look at, but sort of out of reach for us young guys.
With gas prices hitting the roof, I can see that bikes are going to be the cool toys of our generation. I really want one, and will get one eventually. I can see myself getting a sweet bike, but getting a killer classic car is becoming a fading dream.

With the way gas is going my grandkids will be showing off the vintage Schwinn I am leaving them in the will, complete with vintage correct streamers.

(Please send sig worthy material!)

Great pics, Dan. Looks like a great time there.![]()

Those are way cool....
My favorite... the '49 chopped, channeled and frenched Mercury
Old farts that are rich eh? Not so... some but most are just average guys that spend their money on their car like we do on instruments.
I dig old cars, had several myself and can attest to the FACT they are money pits.
BTW: I don't consider myself rich by any standard except I have been blessed with a great wife.
Cars I've had: '64 1/2 Ford Mustang, '66 & '67 Mustang, '57 Ford Thunderbird, '58 Chevy Bel-Air (great car)
Two were show quality, the '64 1/2 Mustang and the '57 T-Bird. Sold them all, don't miss them one bit.
Yes, I am seeing a professional about the GAS... he's wrong

I went to a car show in Barneveld, WI last weekend and recognize a car or two from your pics. In particular that custom one parked next to the Plymouth with the purple, orange and green paint job.
The one I went to was relatively small but they had a few great cars including two near identical 1969 Mustangs and a trio of pastel 1959 Thunderbirds in Daphne blue, Shell pink and cream white.
My favorite of the show was probably this 1969 Galaxie XL GT. The interior of this thing was awesome.

I sure wouldn't mind having a few of those. Great pics!!

I love that Plymouth Savoy with the elephant motor.
I couldn't afford the gas to get it out of the parking lot though.

Do what????
No Biscayne pictures!![]()
I missed my chance! Miss Coopersville went walking by (nice looking teen babe) with her ribbon and crown. I thought should I ask for a picture of her in front of my Van (with me with my arm around her of course) and I chickened out.
Me too! I'd love to have any nice 50's car. I am blessed to still have my Van that I bought new and took very good care of it. One guy who saw it said "the nicest van in the world"!!!
BF Jay,
Had to throw that one in!
Now that is funny! I got a great laugh outta that one.
Nice picture of the car you once owned.
That guy won best of Show in the Grand Rapids, MI Metro Cruise last year.
That car is impeccable and rare! He will not tell anyone what he paid to have that car restored.
Yes, there was a band in the park setting up when we walked by that area. I parked in the prime area on the main street section. Got up at 3:30 am and was there shortly after 5 am to get a good spot. People in the past save car spots for their friends which is against the car show rules, but nobody inforced the rule. This year though they did!I had to go back and sit in line until 6am. I was first in line though and got my favorite spot.
Odie,
The Biscayne I like best did not show this year. It's an off white 1963 with a 409 motor. Aluminum radiator too! Has the stock hub caps and it is sweet! maybe next time?
