All I play is Blues, Blues/rock. I use Strats, a 335 as my primary guitars. I have two Teles that I use occasionally, but more Strats than Teles. I have an Sg and a LP as well but if I need the HB tone, I will go with the 335, its sweeter and less harsh than the LP or the SG.
As far as Amps...... I use a 69 SF Super reverb A/B'd with a 50 watt Marshall 900. The silvers I feel are a little cleaner sounding than th BF, so I prefer the SF. I use an Ibenez Ts9 in the Super.
The Marshall is used more for OD. Even though this is a High Gain amp I have the gain set very low about 5 or 6 this gives my a nice OD type of tone. I use a Marshall Blues breaker pedal in front of this as well. I have a pedal board that I made with Chorus, Delay and OD available for both Amps. When I need Wah I use a Clyde McCoy . I have been using this setup for quite some time now and for the most part am very happy with it. I recently tried a Marhall JCM 45, which I had planned on replacing the 900 with, but was unhappy with it's construction, and I found the tone somewhat inferior to what I have now, so I am still looking at some options, maybe a Plexi. The Super Reverb will be in my Amp line up forever!!!. I am also in the process of buying a BF Deluxe. This Amp may be the best club Amp Ever for Blues!!!!

A fat strat with a CC in the bridge and two cooler single coils in the middle and neck, through my komet and a g12h30 quad, with some line6 green delay/reverb and my ulbrick distortion pedal in front for that extra bit of thickness when called for....and some phrasing from hell!

my trusty MIM strat with aps-2s and my old fender bandmaster.
oh yeah, and my ds-1, at least for now. I pretty much have eberything i want (for now )

With a nice old tube amp, a holowbody or single coil / p90 loaded guitar, and "toneful" fingers pretty much anyone can have a good blues rig and sound.

My Mom's boyfriend's 56 LP Jr ( P90) through a Silvertone Twin Twelve would just about be the top of the heap IMO.
