How about Guitar Center? I know the guys there but have yet been able to get one of these haggled down prices

Guitar Center has gone to MAP pricing with mixed results. My local Sam Ash will still work the price, but not as hard now that GC can't do the same.

Still, my friend went into Sam Ash and walked out with a PGM 301 for $1,000 including tax.

Funny (sad) thing is while we consider it to be the stupidest thing anyone could do, there ARE people who WILL pay the 1600+ for the Duncans (that could be had for maybe 100-150$?) and the sig (that's where the rest 1450$ will go to).

Honestly, it's so stupid I wonder why I even bother...

When I bought my Slash signature I knew I was being ripped off blind but I I didn't care cause I bought me some respect and envy from my fellow musicians.
What price do you put on that ?
People think I'm cool when they see me with the guitar and that makes me feel important and special and great.
Apparently Slash has two brothers that also play in bands, namely Slush and Slosh.
I am going to buy these signature guitars if they come out and then just how cool do you think I will be ?
Your just obviously really envious of us cool guys cause you don't have a Slash, a Slush or a Slosh signature guitar that says Gibson on the headstock !

Funny, there is a discontionued gold top epiphone for 800 dollars AU at the shop around the corner.....should i go for it or wait for the slash? :P

Epiphones are nice when you can't afford a Gibby but I say get the real thing or wish you had!
